Books and furniture of the establishment were damaged in a fire that broke out at the library of a private school in Noida. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported according to the officials. The fire that was reported from the JBM Global School in Sector 132 at around 8pm which gutted the furniture and books. Due to coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown imposed all over the country, the school did not have anyone on the premise and no activity was going on which helped mitigate the loss.

“The fire broke out in the library on the second floor of the private school. Around half-a-dozen fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was controlled by 10 am,” Noida Chief Fire Safety Officer Arun Kumar Singh said. “Furniture and books in the library got destroyed in the fire,” Singh told PTI. He said that the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
