JK Rowling has announced she will release a brand new fantasy story, The Ickabog, to raise money for charity. She said that she will begin publishing a new work online today, a long-in-the-works fairy tale aimed at helping children get through the coronavirus pandemic.
“The Ickabog” is “NOT A HARRY POTTER SPIN-OFF,” Rowling wrote on Twitter Tuesday but rather a story she wrote 10 years ago and only shared it with her two younger children.
“You can read it for free on a new website we’ll be launching shortly,” she wrote. But Rowling says she hopes children will help her illustrate the book. “Let your imagination run wild.”
