Nights In Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks is exactly the kind of book I was looking for on a day that I was ready to give up on everything. It is the perfect book that gives you the right amount of joy and hope. It is a book about two people who find love when they least expect it. But, like all other Nicholas Sparks book, Nights in Rodanthe makes you cry and the book stays on in your heart long after you have finished reading it.
It is the story of Adrienne and Paul, two 40-year-old strangers who meet in a small Inn in Rodanthe. Little do they know that their lives are going to change forever in a couple of days that they spend together. The book is everything you would expect from a Nicholas Sparks novel. Each character has a past that dominates most aspects of their lives. It shows how love, even if it is between two people who cannot live together is still true and moving. The book offers hope, sorrow, sacrifice, forgiveness, and of course love. The book is a must-read if you are a fan of Spark’s writing. I personally have not seen the movie adaptation of the book but I would like to say that don’t judge the book by the movie.
Even though I loved Nights in Rodanthe, it might not appeal to all the readers. The book is of a couple who is in their 40s and have kids, most young readers might not find that relatable. For those who find books by Sparks a little too cheesy or hopelessly romantic, this book is not for you. It is a book that portrays how complicated life can be and sometimes good memories and a broken heart is all that is left of a relationship.
