World Environment Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of June. The day was celebrated for the very first time in the year 1973. The inspiration for such a day was received by a conference on Human Environment by the United Nations. World Environment Day is celebrated with a new theme every year to encourage awareness of the environment and environmental problems.
The main aim of World Environment Day is to create awareness public about different environmental issues and to protect our environment for a better future. Many environmentalists, professors, scientists, and politicians take active part in these celebrations and bring out new ideas to protect and save the environment. Many schools, colleges, and offices also take part in this by participating in competitions, tree planting, cleaning public places, recycling, etc.
It is an initiative to make the public aware of Eco-friendly products and to create a clean and green, pollution-free environment for coming future generations. And to encourage the public to be active members of the environmentally friendly development of our earth.
The whole idea of World Environment Day is to create a natural and beautiful world free of pollution. The celebration of such a day is very important. If we do not take proper steps to save the natural resources, everything will deplete one day and we will be left with nothing. It is our responsibility to save nature and protect it from pollution and other hazards. It is us, humans, who will be able to lead a healthy life because of these small steps to save our environment.
